Searching for a lost ring with a heavy emotional value.

The lost ring was very special because it was fused together using the rings from his deceased parents.

The ring had fallen through the wooden decking panels into the water. The lake bed was full of iron and rubble, not to mention the hundreds of pieces of glass.
After talking with the owner, the story was so emotional that giving up was not an option!

Our group gevonden-verloren (www.gevonden-verloren.nl) specialize in helping people recover lost items on land and underwater. We do this throughout the Netherlands, Belgium and parts of Germany.

Nothing is more satisfying than helping people in times of despair, and if you can combine that with your hobby of metal detecting, what could be better.

During this search it was like looking for a needle in a haystack. Iron, beer caps, cans, glass, aluminum, everything was against us. It was impossible to filter this out by just using the pinpointer.
We started with a 10m x 3m search area, after several failed attempts with different machines, the Xp Deus II saved the day.
Thanks to it’s unique recovery and filtering, it picked out the clean sound in amongst the rubbish. After the initial clear signal, I switched to the MI-6 to find the exact location, it was a great moment when the ring emerged out of the water.
When you see the video you will see why I wanted to share my experience with you.
The owners emotion was beautiful but also heavy, you can hardly imagine what it is like to lose both parents at such a young age and then lose something as tangible as a ring from both of them.

On our social media channels https://linktr.ee/gevondenverloren you can watch many videos and read stories. One thing is certain without the XP Deus II this assignment would not have been possible.

Many pieces of jewelry have already been found with the Deus I and the Deus II. Also with the XP MI-6 Pinpointer.
