Found in Europe with the DEUS 2 Metal Detector

"A day in the life of a detectorist. It was a beautiful day in the spring of 2023. The sun was shining over the flat landscape and the trees and bushes were slowly starting to sprout. The birds were already busy and singing out loud. The farmers were also busy working their fields and lands. Preparing the pieces of land to sow again for the new harvest. On this day I accidentally ended up in a very special place. A nice secluded spot by the water. At first I thought maybe it isn’t a good place to look, until I came across a large amount of Roman and medieval shards. Then I was thinking let's grab the Deus 2 and lets start looking again. I said to myself there might be something special in the ground here. After I had started my Deus 2 with a 22 cm Coil and the Relic program, I first walked a few steps towards the water. What struck me was the diversity of the ground. The soil consisted of white and black clay and also sandy soil. Soon I cracked a signal and started digging. Then I found a silver medieval coin. After this I received another signal. I started digging and found a small bronze Roman coin. Then I thought there must be more here. Unfortunately it was already getting dark and I should go home and have a good night's sleep and try again tomorrow. In the evening I was thinking why I hadn't found as much as I hoped. Then I got a hunch. The water used to be higher, of course. Conclusion I have to go higher with the detector. I had also gone through the manual of the Deus 2 to see if there were any ideas in it. Then I realized that I could also use the 28 cm Coil to search.

The next morning I went back and got my Deus 2 with the 28cm Coil. During the search, the first Roman coins soon turned up on a higher piece of land. At one point a strong signal came in on my Deus 2 and then thought WOW there must be something really big here. I put my shovel Immediately in the ground and then for the first time in my entire search career I found a whole Roman coin. Instead of only small parts of it. I then thought maybe if I'm lucky there's more here. I carefully walked on with the detecor and soon a strong signal came in again. I thought is it possible ? i put the shovel into the ground again. unfortunately it wasn’t so the first time, then i put the shovel into the ground again. At the second time I had a bite and how. It was a Roman coin, namely a Denaris. My day really couldn't go wrong then. Unfortunately the day came to an end and I went home to enjoy all the beautiful things I had found.

My tip to anyone who is looking: "Hold on, don't give up. Try something different. Have confidence in your material and also dare to ask and consult with others"

Findings Nr:1 - 2de century - Denarius (160-161) - Antonius Pius (138-161) - Reference RIC 309. Nr2 - 2de century - Denarius - Marcus Aurelius (als keizer, 139-161)"
